I’m a visual identity designer based in the UK. I love building brands.
But honestly, I enjoy all kinds of visual creative work, like graphics, motion, video… OH and websites. I love designing websites. To the world, I probably look like another post-Covid ADHD sufferer from too much doom-scrolling. But to myself, I’m just a design enthusiast with too many ideas and not enough hours in the day.
My path here wasn’t straight though. I grew up in a typical East Asian family where art and design weren’t considered real careers. I was told to study hard and become a doctor. Any drawing tools or books had to be well hidden, or they are going into the bin.
Turns out, I was never meant to be a doctor. College didn’t work out, and I went into retail. Then at some point I started working at an Apple flagship store. At another point, I became their Creative Pro, specializing in art & design.
That role reminded me that creativity isn’t just a hobby. It is how I think, how I communicate, how I solve problems. Really grateful to have worked there.
At 38 25, I’m still deeply passionate about art and visual communication. This freelance design business feels like redemption for me. I didn’t get to chase this dream when I was younger, so now I’m building it properly.
And yes, those 3 big words on this page are my values, or strengths, or whatever you want to call them. I know it’s corny as hell.
