My name is Ruth Leung. I’m a multi-disciplinaryvisual designer based in the UK—but I didn’t take a straight path into design. I’ve always been the person people turned to for anything visual—when they needed clarity, direction, or a sense of intuitive design. My passion for design never changed, but the way I got here wasn’t typical. I taught myself—slowly and deliberately—driven by a need to create visuals that connect, especially when words fall short. Over the years, I worked in retail and hospitality. Not the kind of background most people expect, but those roles taught me how to read people, how to listen, and how to approach challenges with creative problem solving. Later, I became an in-store software trainer at Apple, helping people make sense of complex tools. That experience taught me how to communicate—not just clearly, but thoughtfully. Today, I work with startups and small teams to bring their ideas to life through design that’s both strategic and expressive. I stay close to the process, ask the right questions, and create work that leaves a lasting impression. I may work with small teams—but I always aim big.
